"Quote of the Day"

"I am a realist. I expect miracles." - Dr. Wayne Dyer

... And More Whispers

It was particularly stressful this week at work, especially the other day. I was sleepless the whole night, went to a friend's nephew's funeral the next day, sat at my dentist's chair (yikes, hate those sounds of the instruments!) for hours yesterday. On my way back home, I saw a car parked at my street with a personalized licensed plate - RELAX.

Now, is that crazy, a coincidence, or what? Call it what you want, but I choose to call it God's little whispers, Nature's gentle reminders, to me. And I like it. You might say I put meaning to everything in life. No, some things don't affect me personally, and also, what is personal to one may not mean anything to someone else - Each to his own! On the other hand, if everything in life is meaningless, then it's meaningless to even talk about it, isn't it! Now, how boring is that!

I love life! It's everything there is! Besides, wouldn't it be sad if God were talking to us, and God always does... and we ignored it?

One word or two I've seen around, on the streets, on ads, billboards, walls, pavements, whatever, wherever, that called my attention like whispers -
... and on DREAM, I heard a faint voice, "Dream BIG and clear."

Quiet Time

A time to be alone, all by yourself! It is so precious, I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world!

And Transcendental Meditation (TM) is the best thing that ever happened to me, to have the time for myself, just me and me alone! I don't have to go far, to the mountains, to the seas, away from the noise of the city, just to have the time for myself, by myself. I don't have to wait till I have my next long vacation to do it. I can do it everyday. And I do! I can just be at home, or somewhere I can sit down comfortably, and do it. TM is great. It's the best gift I've given myself and the best gift I can give to someone. That's why I talk, I blog, about it a lot. It's a big part of my life since I learned it in the 80's. And I love sharing the knowledge.

Someday you might be interested in it and may want to talk more about it. I'll be there to share.

Try TM, it works.

Coming Out of Silence

This is actually the first time in weeks (or months, maybe) that I listened to music again. I went to youtube and watched a lot of music videos like it was time to listen again. Remember when I was feeling deep?

Today just felt quite natural to come out of silence and listen to what's out there. Yet at the same time, I still am feeling silence deep within me. It's as if, even as I am aware of what I am hearing and listening to on the surface, I still am experiencing silence deep deep deep inside. It's marvelous, it's magical! It's like having a conversation with God while things are going on around. Like talking to God, or rather, listening to God not talking, but silent. Actually, God is talking to me through silence. God is silent... It is silent... It is in silence... It is Silence...

It may sound or feel impersonal. But it's not. And it doesn't "sound", it doesn't "feel". It just is. It is. It may be impersonal, yet it's personally,"especially delivered" to me. It is both bliss and blissful... Experiencing God through silence is very personal to me. Silence is its language right now. It's vast, it's grand, it's huge, it's miraculous!! It is just immense, the deepest and longest silence I've ever felt so far in my life! It's grandiose! Most superlative!!  So be it. Amen.

Time with Plants

I guess today was my day with my plants. I say I guess 'cause it was unplanned. I'm off for a a few days hoping to catch up with paperwork and music but I saw one bad plant and I thought it was time to replace it, time to repot the others, and there I was the whole afternoon with the rest of my plants!

I'm glad I did it though, 'cause really, I've been neglecting them. And they've just been patient with me. Well, yeah, you think there's nothing they can do but eventually die if I don't take care of them. But you know what, my plants love me. It must be the music they love at home... plus me! Everyone who comes here say my plants are super healthy. Yeah, right, I don't water them nor feed them for weeks, some even for months, and they still look healthy, huh!

But you know what, they really are healthy... and happy! Yeah, that I can guarantee - my plants are happy! So happy they're healthy! I must have a green thumb, I pride myself with that! But my friend, Jo, says I don't have a green thumb, "... your plants have human heart!"

There you go...
