Beautiful Day

A walk along the trail
A visit to Rainbow's grave
Pastries from Boulangerie
Indian cuisine for dinner
Grande mocha from Starbuck's - decaf
And home sweet home
A day off together
What could be better?

San Francisco

Cool wind on my face
Fresh air I breathe
The smell of sea air
The sounds of the bay...

San Francisco morning!

Early sunlight
Ferry boat ride
Cold crispy bay wind
Aah, so refreshing!

What a sight I leave behind
Leaving home for work -
Chilly mornin' fog
Steep rolling hills
Port of San Francisco
The Ferry Building
The Embarcadero
The Financial District
Downtown SF
Transamerica Building
Coit Tower, Bay Bridge
Ocean Pacific -
Great view from the bay!

Cold wind on my face
New breath of fresh air
Walk along the parkway
On lovely harbor bay -

Bay Area evening!

Early moonlight
Ferry boat ride
Calm as the ocean
Soothing, smooth sailin'

What a sight I'm coming home to
Leaving work behind -
Ocean Pacific
Bay Bridge, Coit Tower
Transamerica Building
Downtown SF
The Financial District
The Embarcadero
The Ferry Building
Port of San Francisco
Steep rolling hills
Chilly evenin' fog
Great view from the bay!

Sinbad's for a drink?

Nah, I'd rather go home and chill out
Where love and music await me
In the world's most beautiful little city
Living here is what it's all about -
San Francisco, Home!

April Fools' Day

It's April Fools' Day
Don't be fooled
April Fools' Day
Don't be tooled
April Fools
Be cool.

I Touched God

I touched God
In a dream one night...

Warmth I felt
The warmth of light
The warmth of God
Light I touched
I touched God.

Blissfulness I felt
The state of bliss
The state of God
Bliss I touched
I touched God.

Home Sweet Home

Cool wind on my face
Fresh air I breathe
The smell of sea air
The sounds of the bay
I walk across the Marina green
While children play La Crosse
Sitting on "our bench", Norman & I claim it
As if Nature had always reserved it for us
I watch people walking, talking
Walking their dogs
Joggers, bikers, birdwatchers
Tourists, photographers...
Seagulls on the edge of the sea wall
Pigeons waiting for bread crumbs
Birds soaring high in the skies
A cargo ship coming in, another one leaving
An old classic yacht sailing
A kite surfer, the waters all to himself...
The Golden Gate Bridge
Alcatraz, Fort Mason
The Pacific Ocean
Breathtaking view
My senses consumed
I am enjoying
One with Nature
Totally present
I am home, I really am...
Home.

In The Moment -

This moment
The only moment
Here and now
Right here, right now
Nope, you went past now
Come back
Nope, not there
Here, right here
Here, now
Here now
Here
Now
.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!

"Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne?"

New Year
New beginning
New life

October

Month of the Rosary
Dedicated to the Blessed Mary
Our Lady of Fatima
of Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia

To God, through you, I surrender
To Him, through you, I offer
Myself, my life, my whole being
With all love and trust. Amen.

Autumn

Colors of fall as leaves a-changing -
Green, blue, purple, red, crimson
Orange, yellow, golden, brown...
They answer to Nature's calling

The grandeur of Autumn abounds
From up the skies down to the grounds
Mountains' mighty majesty unfolds
Breath-taking sight, all glory, behold!

Post Script

These are words coming out. Still don't know if it's poetry or a song. I'll let it be.

Song or Poem

LOVE and CONNECTION

Is this love?... Are you connecting?
Are you in love... or denying?
There are hints... there are signs
Yet nothing's clear... what is it?
Is it fear?... why is it?
What's holding you back?... Time, perhaps
What's taking time?... Love, perhaps

Is it love?... Are you connecting?
Are you in love... or denying?

There are hints... there are signs
Yet nothing's clear... what is it?
Is it fear?... why is it?
What's holding you back?... Love, perhaps
What's taking time?... Time, perhaps

Remembering... Deena

On her anniversary today...

Remembering Deena...
My mother-in-law, New Yorker
Beautiful, classy, elegant
Passionate about life and music

Remembering Deena...
She adored me! I don't know why but she did
I would have been content just being loved or liked
I don't know what I did to deserve it
When my side of the family met her for the first time
They whispered to me, "She adores you!"
She just did!

Remembering Deena...
And our Saturday mornings at Starbucks with Norman
She'd pick us up early morning from her night work on weekends
Have our coffees and hot chocolate and muffins and scones
With soft guitar music on the background

Remembering Deena...
Flamboyant with her looks from head to toe
The way she dressed, her make-up on all the time
"Always ready either for a talent scout or a mortician!"

Remembering Deena...
Her sense of humor, her laughter, infectious
Her keen sense of appreciation for music
And a deep understanding of it, quite impressive
As she proudly talks of her 2 musician sons,
"They got their talent from me", she'd teased them.

Remembering Deena...
I've never seen nurses loved a patient so much
The nurses even kissed her
I had never seen that before,
The nurses simply adored her!

Deena lifted their spirits up
When they were all exhausted from the day's and night's work
Going from one room to another to answer to other patients' calls and complaints
Deena just never complained, her smile inspired them...

When she was brought back to the ICU from the rehab
And the nurses who took care of her before learned about it,
They took time to visit her and later prepared a room back on their floor ready for her.

At both centers, she was loved, well taken care of until her last breath...

Remembering Deena...
So much to say, yet never enough
Thanks for everything, Mom,
You were an inspiration to so many of us
Coming in full circle, you were adored and loved!
