Talk About... GREAT!
Words of wisdom that are ever so inspiring, uplifting, motivating, from the OLYMPICS! From athletes, coaches, their families, friends -
Hard work. Persistence. Determination. Perseverance. Passion. Fire.
Sure, we hear them all the time, but these are timeless values that uplift our winning spirit, inspire us to keep going, and motivate us to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams! And during the Olympics, these words lift us up even higher!

"Be hungry."
And from commercials, their ads go beyond their products -
LIVE BETTER... (by Mitsubishi)
"I know what I can do."
... and plenty more from athletes themselves!!

Every step of the way... (Citi Bank)
Whatever you do... Make it matter. (HP)
And the greatest of them all, for me, is (Nike's) -
FIND YOUR GREATNESS.
Feeling low and "lost" these days, especially with my music, and to hear and see those words on TV at the OLYMPICS, at that, the world's greatest sports event, as I've previously said,"... electrifying, thunderous, ever so exciting, so inspiring, so motivating, it's glorious - everything I need these days!" - now I know what my goal is!

Thought for the Day
The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which... to burn.
Is it? Or there are more things in life to overcome.

Maharishi Says,
"Keep your desire turning back within and be patient.
Allow the fulfilment to come to you. Gently resist the temptation to chase your dreams into the world, pursue them in your heart until they disappear into the Self, and leave them there. It may take a little self-discipline, be simple, be kind, stay rested. Attend to your own inner-health and happiness.
Happiness radiates like the fragrance from a flower and draws all good things towards you. Allow your love to nourish yourself as well as others. Do not strain after your needs of life - it is sufficient to be quietly alert and aware of them.
In this way life proceeds more naturally, effortlessly.
Life is here to enjoy."

A Gentle Reminder
... for the unthankful heart -
Estonian Proverb
Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.
Frank A. Clark
If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get.
If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get.
Let's be grateful for what we have, big or small -
Meister Eckhart
If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, 'thank you,' that would suffice.

Going Inward...
REST is the basis of activity.
This fall-winter season, as the days get short and nights long, and cold, dark, dreary, can be depressing too, as they call the "holiday blues", try not to be overtaken by these moods. Instead, take the time to go inward and rest. Meditate. There is power in inwardness... In rest... It's healing, rejuvenating, transforming, as it prepares us for the next season, bright, sunny, lively spring and summer.
The holidays are here, which means busy schedules - traveling, shopping, celebrating, drinking, dining - all sorts of activities! And while it's all fun and exciting, it can also be exhausting and overwhelming!
Balance is the key to life. Go inward and rest...To the degree that we're rested, to the degree can we accomplish and achieve!!
Enjoy the journey within... as you enjoy the Holidays without!!
And not just during the holidays but everyday of our lives -
Enjoy the journey inside and out!

On Being
Brenda and I were talking about buddhist centers in the bay area over lunch yesterday. She said there were some she didn't like 'cause, apparently, some speakers talked too much instead of just having silence. They're "too busy being somebody instead of just being."
I like that! I really like that - One is a waste of time; the other, timeless.
Talk more about Being, Albert Einstein says -

Epiphany
An inner voice told me, "(It) Doesn't take much to become great! Start from within... at whatever level."
WOW!... WOW!!

"Quote of the Day"
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma -- which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary" -Steve Jobs-
