My friends, I'm utterly enjoying this state, this consciousness, right now. Wish it were forever. But what is a glimpse but simply that - a short view, a glance, a peek! Who knows how long it will last! That's why I'm capturing the moment, catching sight of the Almighty... the Absolute... the Almighty Absolute... the Absolute Almighty.
... And sharing with you.
Meanwhile, I've created a new blog as a continuation of this and you can go back and forth to these 2 blogs because they are both connected.
I love y'all.

Wow! I don't think I want to post anything else after these magical words by Rumi. It is the ultimate wisdom for me...
Don't get me wrong. When I say 'ultimate', I don't mean the end. On the contrary, it's a new beginning, a new chapter, in my life. And it's a beautiful, beautiful experience, I just want to remain in deep silence at the moment...

But Darn!!
Oakland A's lost!

Wouldn't it have been exciting if Oakland A's and SF Giants head on to the World Series this year?Another Bay Bridge Series?
Hold it, hold it, it's a long ways to the World Series for the Giants so what did we say earlier -
Calm down.
Yup, well, at least, there won't be another earthquake like 1989, right? And, oh, forget the Oakland A's. They beat us in '89! Well, now I'm glad they lost!
Oh, God, please let the Giants keep winning, one game at a time, yes, I'm calm, I'm calm!!

Changes
It's been a while since I last visited my blog and here's changing my template again. It really depends on my mood at the moment. Last July, I had a summer look; now it's fall, so a change in color. But I've had this template before. Yes, it's a shade of brown which is one of the many colors of autumn, but it's not really autumn. It's more than that. The background is blank and plain until I write something. And with the birds flying, there is movement... It seems to symbolize a journey, my journey, my thoughts, my notes along the way... it seems to move. Feels that way, anyway. I like it!
Welcome back, my friends.
Welcome back, my friends.

Whoa, What Am I Doing?!
Was I in a Like and Share mood today on FB - that's all I did - Like Share, Like Share, Like Share… the most I’ve ever done in a day!
Waste of time? I don’t know, but I, sure, was enjoying…
So many beautiful photos and inspiring words being shared on FB today! Wonder why. What day is it today, anything special? Whatever it was, it was fun!
And out of so many, the one that struck a chord with me the most is -
Life is all about timing. When you are ready for a new adventure, you will find that it has been waiting for you all along.
AWESOME!
AWESOME!

On the Other Hand
Perhaps, those dolphins just wanted to "sunbathe" for the moment! Or breathe fresh air outside the ocean! Then, maybe, they should have been left alone. Or were they plainly lost? How'd that happen? We, humans, generally don't know why some dolphins, like whales, land on beaches. The people who were there (story below) clearly meant well to help. Hope the dolphins understood our good intentions.
Here's an article that can help us understand dolphins and whales more -

On Female Relationships
My high school classmates and I, ever since we re-discovered one another "eons" ago, or a very long time ago, rather, not a long time ago,... well, not really that long,... (excuses, excuses!!) for our Silver Jubilee, (Oh, gosh!... EONS ago!), have been meeting quite regularly, starting more or less quarterly, and now, more every other month, plus in between, like on occasions - birthdays, weddings, when a classmate comes for a visit from around the country or abroad, and on and on - any excuse we can think of just to get together! Unfortunately, I can't make it at all times and I'm really trying to make it at every gathering. I'm missing so much fun! Yes, like I missed last month's at Dulce's.
Miss you, guys, I mean, girls! But I'm there in spirit!... Forget being there in spirit, I should be there with you, body and soul, every gathering - no excuse!
Talk about girlfriends, here's sharing a beautiful article that another dear friend and classmate, Jo, one of those dearest to my heart, sent me on e-mail -
Female Relationships
They Teach It at Stanford
In an evening class at Stanford the last lecture was on the mind-body connection - the relationship between stress and disease. The speaker (head of psychiatry at Stanford) said, among other things, that one of the best things that a man could do for his health is to be married to a woman whereas for a woman, one of the best things she could do for her health was to nurture her relationships with her girlfriends. At first everyone laughed, but he was serious.
Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life experiences.
Physically this quality "girlfriend time" helps us to create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat depression and can create a general feeling of well being. Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around activities. They rarely sit down with a buddy and talk about how they feel about certain things or how their personal lives are going. Jobs? Yes. Sports? Yes. Cars? Yes. Fishing, hunting, golf? Yes. But their feelings? Rarely.
Women do it all of the time. We share from our souls with our sisters/mothers, and evidently that is very good for our health. He said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our general health as jogging or working out at a gym.
There's a tendency to think that when we are "exercising" we are doing something good for our bodies, but when we are hanging out with friends, we are wasting our time and should be more productively engaged, not true.
In fact, he said that failure to create and maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as dangerous to our physical health as smoking!
So every time you hang out to schmooze with a gal pal, just pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing something good for your health! We are indeed very, very lucky. Sooooo, let's toast to our friendship with our girlfriends. Evidently it's very good for our health.
Forward this to all your girlfriends and stay in touch!
Thanks to all the women in my life who have helped me stay healthy, happy, and feeling connected.
Thanks, Jo, for the beautiful article and a beautiful friendship.
Jo and I met each other again after high school, in L.A., (really, EONS ago!), before the rest of us did for our 25th High School Reunion! We both lived in L.A. but didn't know where each one was, (no computers, no cell phones, google, facebook, then!), only to find out later that we were neighbors, just a block or 2 away, can you imagine! Jo, remember?... You don't remember?? Uh-oh.
Miss you, guys, I mean, girls! But I'm there in spirit!... Forget being there in spirit, I should be there with you, body and soul, every gathering - no excuse!

This Craving for Chocolate Chip Cookies!
I was on my way to Starbucks for a chocolate chip cookie which recently, I've been craving for, when I came across the neighborhood's newspaper with the headlines, Sweet!, and guess what it's all about - Chocolate Chip Cookies!!
With my recent bout with respiratory allergies, somehow, I loss my appetite. But now that I have recovered, hopefully, there's nothing I want more than chocolate chip cookies! I don't know why. It could have been any other sweets, but it's chocolate chip cookies I want! And sure enough, what could better draw my attention to the big story than the pictures of chocolate chip cookies!
SWEET!

Olympics Withdrawal Syndrome?!
Who's playing next? What event is on? What time is... It's over?? The OLYMPICS is over??
OMG! Am I going through post-Olympics depression?
What a great Summer Olympics that was in London, oh, London! The royal town - class, rich in history, culture, formidable, timeless, immortal!!
The Olympics is over?! I've just said London is an immortal city!
London is, but the Olympics is over.
I wish I were there... still there! This feeling is horrendous. I miss the Olympics...
HELP!

Talk About... GREAT!
Words of wisdom that are ever so inspiring, uplifting, motivating, from the OLYMPICS! From athletes, coaches, their families, friends -
Hard work. Persistence. Determination. Perseverance. Passion. Fire.
Sure, we hear them all the time, but these are timeless values that uplift our winning spirit, inspire us to keep going, and motivate us to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams! And during the Olympics, these words lift us up even higher!

Sure, we hear them all the time, but these are timeless values that uplift our winning spirit, inspire us to keep going, and motivate us to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams! And during the Olympics, these words lift us up even higher!
"Be hungry."
And from commercials, their ads go beyond their products -
LIVE BETTER... (by Mitsubishi)
"I know what I can do."
... and plenty more from athletes themselves!!
LIVE BETTER... (by Mitsubishi)
Every step of the way... (Citi Bank)
Whatever you do... Make it matter. (HP)
And the greatest of them all, for me, is (Nike's) -
FIND YOUR GREATNESS.
Feeling low and "lost" these days, especially with my music, and to hear and see those words on TV at the OLYMPICS, at that, the world's greatest sports event, as I've previously said,"... electrifying, thunderous, ever so exciting, so inspiring, so motivating, it's glorious - everything I need these days!" - now I know what my goal is!

AWESOME!
Michael Phelps
"He's the most successful but not the greatest," a british newscaster said.
"Is Michael Phelps comparable to Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods?" another question from the Olympic news.
Jordan and Woods are two of the world's Sports GREATS! If Phelps had stopped in Beijing, or if he had set his same old fire, passion, determination, discipline - his whole attitude, his whole being - in London from day 1 like he did in Beijing, I think he would have been one of them, win or lose. He's the most decorated, most successful, according to news. But is he the Olympic's GREAT?
There's a difference between being great and being successful -
Greatness is a state of being, above and beyond anything else. Success is a status, a position relative to others. Greatness stands by itself. Success moves. Being successful means you achieve your goal, you win it all! Being great means, win or lose, you give it all you've got!
I've just heard on Access Hollywood featuring Access London 2012 someone announced, "Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympian of all!"
Is Michael Phelps the greatest Olympian of all?
Tell me what you think. Feel free.
Why All About Olympics??
It's the sports fanatic in me, you know! I'm in the OLYMPICS' mode right now. From the time I wake up in the morning to the wee hours of the next day's morning, my TV is on unless I'm out. I've eventually stopped looking at the clock after midnight. I must concede, though, that I usually watch and listen to the results on the news prior to watching the NBC Primetime Coverage at night, (Great job, NBC!) especially for some sports like swimming, gymnastics, 'cause they're a little bit too exciting for me to watch live or even pre-recorded! You think I would be able to watch the Women's Gymnastics without knowing they had won the GOLD? Hell, no! And the Women's Swimming, as well as Men's, although I wasn't happy with Michael Phelps earlier in his events! He just didn't have the fire he had in Beijing! He had his whole being - body, mind, soul and spirit - set for 8 golds in Beijing! His goal was clear-cut. In London, his goal seems to have been just to win the most medals in OLYMPIC history. That's much less than Beijing's, clearly, a huge difference right there! Had he set his goal for GOLD for every game here in London, not just for most medals, meaning, any medal, (There you go, so far, he got a gold, a silver, and in one qualifying round, he was 4th! Damn!) perhaps, he would have had the same fire, same passion, same intensity as in Beijing! He could have set his standard as high as in Beijing. That's tough, of course, but he could have done it. That said, he seems to have his old passion and fire back in his remaining games. He said that this is "absolutely, positively," his last Olympics! Let's hope this will be a grand finish for Michael. He can do it. Good luck, Michael!... I already know who won!
...And How About That, Gabby!

Ryan Lochte dethrones Michael Phelps?

Is Michael Phelps human after all?
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/olympics/michael-phelps-proves-human-after-all/article4447123/
What made the difference between these 2 athletes in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London OLYMPICS?
I heard that Phelps didn't even really start to prepare until about 9 months ago, is that true?? It's not all talent, man. It's attitude! Attitude gives you the fire, determination, the discipline to work hard and prepare. Winning starts with the preparation. There's no end without a beginning. It starts with you... inside you! Attitude, Man, Attitude!
See the math. It's all mathematics. Read my post down below. What a timely post, I should say!

2012 LONDON OLYMPICS
The SUMMER OLYMPICS is back and you won't hear from me for a while. Watching the OLYMPICS on tv is like watching the NFL SUPER BOWL for Americans - you can't miss them! Neither can you miss the commercials. More so with the Olympic Games, that goes without saying! Yes, there are games that are long so you can take a break here and there, but the commercials are great. You don't want to miss them. True, they run repeatedly during these 2-week event, so you see them again and again, unlike the Super Bowl, which is a one-game event, football, that's it, and the commercials are a one-time, one-day event. But, the big difference is, the Super Bowl ads are mainly about the products, whereas the Olympics' go beyond their products. They tell stories of people, the athletes - their determination, desire, their dreams!
And, without comparison, no comparison at all, simply, the OLYMPICS is larger than life! It is electrifying, thunderous, ever so exciting, so inspiring, so motivating, it's glorious - everything I need these days!
Have to go!
